  Amazing Norway - Drone video

  Last week I came back from a journey to create some new portfolio images. I packed my usual camera gear for this trip, but also packed my brand new drone and put it out to the test. I used a DJI Phantom 2, with the new GoPro Hero 4 black edition. The amazing scenery in Norway, and especially in the Lofoten area, blew my mind. Such great beauty in Norway.... I never knew!   Denne video er filmet på lokalisationen 61° Nord og 10° Øst ved Skeikampen i Norge ca. 1 time efter solopgang 31. januar 2012 og 01. februar 2012, hvor temperaturen blev målt til minus 24°. Det norske vinterlandskab var så smukt og ubeskriveligt med en stilhed, som kun, den 1. dag, blev brudt af en enkel skiløbers knasende skistaver i den sprøde frosttørre sne og ind imellem af mig, når jeg som fotograf skulle foretage små nødvendige fodbevægelser for at følge med rundt om mit trebenet...

At this time of year (December) the sun doesn't come up, only a few hours of dusk. one of the highlights was a trip to Nordkapp (Northcape) 71˚ North and the most northerly point in Europe.   This is my third short-film about the northern lights. This year some epic displays has been on the sky, and for the first time I have included real-time recordings. As usual, my main focus is on getting the auroras show as close as possible to real-time speed given the time available in a short video.
