Sourdough bread, one of the oldest forms of baking with natural fermentation, has gained popularity. Norwegian artisanal cheeses saw an increase of as much as 40%. Products from the organic Røros dairy increased sales by 24%, and UHT milk now accounts for one-third of all whole milk sales at MENY.

Norwegian Stew, Chicken, and Pasta Take the Lead
Four out of the five most popular recipes included chicken. Four out of the ten most searched-for dishes were pasta-based. Other hot dishes, including roasted pork knuckle, were also in high demand.
Protein and Natural Sweetness
Among sweet snacks, there has been increased interest in dates and dried fruits. The range has been expanded to include new varieties, including products made from frozen and freeze-dried berries. These products are gradually becoming a permanent part of MENY stores’ assortment.
