In addition to a complete blood count, it is worth checking glucose, glycated hemoglobin HbA1c, lipid profile, liver and kidney function parameters, electrolytes, and TSH. Oncological vigilance also remains an essential part of prevention. Women should regularly undergo gynecological exams and breast examinations, such as ultrasound or mammography. Men should discuss with their doctor whether PSA testing is advisable. After the age of 40, it is also important to remember about colorectal cancer prevention, including colonoscopy as recommended by your doctor.
