Where spending is most often limited
The Norwegian Confederation of Enterprise (NHO Service og Handel) forecasts an increase in total Christmas spending nationwide.
The organization estimates that the average Norwegian will spend about NOK 26,500 on Christmas this year. This represents a 5 percent increase compared to last year. The forecasts take into account the ongoing rise in inflation.

Retail forecasts indicate growth
Survey data and retail forecasts show varied consumer behavior. Some households are cutting back, while others are maintaining their spending levels.
At the same time, the total value of Christmas shopping is expected to rise. This pattern indicates a change in the structure of spending, rather than a uniform trend among all consumers.
