Three out of ten residents of Norway have sold or passed on Christmas gifts they received themselves. This is according to a survey conducted by Opinion on behalf of FINN Torget. The data shows clear differences between genders, age groups, and the life situations of respondents.
The survey results indicate that women are more likely to sell or give away gifts. 34 percent of women declared they had sold or passed on a received gift. Among men, 23 percent of respondents took such a step.

The survey shows a strong variation related to family situation. Nearly half of families with children declared they had sold or passed on a Christmas gift.
