In the first half of the year, internet users massively typed the keyword "Valgomat" (election quiz – an online tool that helps voters check which political parties they have the most in common with) into the search engine.

Norwegians also asked how to cast their vote, what the electoral threshold is, and what differences exist between various parties. Google emphasizes that the list reflects users' everyday needs. The data indicates increased interest in politics during the election year. At the same time, users quickly responded to new events and phenomena.

Strong Names and Events in the Trends

Second place in the ranking went to Charlie Kirk, who made headlines after his death during a speech at Utah Valley University. Other strong trends included searches about serial killer Ed Gein and musician Ozzy Osbourne.

The list also featured queries related to sports and culture, such as "Norway – Italy," "Bodø Glimt Tottenham," and the name of painter Odd Nerdrum. Stig Millehaugen also appeared in the ranking.
