From Piła to Oslo: SuperMajk – hairdresser, bartender, and ambassador of expat humor
From Piła, through waiting tables, to sharp cuts
Although Michał is now 35, he’s been close with scissors for sixteen years. Interestingly, he doesn’t have a hairdressing school diploma, but his story is living proof that practice makes perfect.
Michał Grzechowiak
"I started by cutting friends’ hair for free back in high school. From a young age, I did a lot of hands-on practice on real people and traveled all over Poland for courses. That’s how I honed my skills."

What was supposed to be three months turned into two and a half years spent behind the bar and waiting tables. It turned out Norway wasn’t the only stop on his journey around the world. Michał also worked as a dishwasher in Ireland, a waiter in Greece, and cleaned houses and worked in catering in the USA, gathering experiences that now shape his unique creative perspective.

King of the express salon and training academy
His talent and commitment were quickly noticed. After just three months, he was promoted to salon manager, and later joined the chain’s training academy, where he began teaching other hairdressers various cutting techniques.
Time for his own: home salon and TikTok stage
Since May, he’s been running his own salon... at home. It’s a new stage that allows him more freedom and authenticity – qualities that perfectly fit his second, equally dynamic career.
For a year now, Michał has been regularly creating content on TikTok (@supermajk). There, he shares knowledge, experience, and humor from the life of a hairdresser, but also from the perspective of a Pole living in Norway. Whether it’s cutting, advice for expats, or funny skits about life in Scandinavia – SuperMajk proves you can combine professionalism with ease and be yourself, whether you’re holding scissors or a phone.
