The latest data from Statistics Norway (SSB) shows that hotels recorded almost 1.9 million domestic overnight stays and nearly 1.1 million from abroad. Oslo leads. Europe drives demand

The number of overnight stays by guests from China decreased by 7%. Some hotels reported that Asian tourists canceled trips due to tensions in the Middle East.

Campsites also saw weaker results. In June, 1.4 million overnight stays were registered there, 3.5% less than the previous year. Norwegian residents accounted for 851,000 stays. Foreign guests were responsible for another 568,000.
Including campsites, holiday cabin centers, and hostels, the number of commercial overnight stays reached almost 4.8 million. This was 0.9% less than in June 2025. Cabin centers and hostels recorded 427,000 overnight stays, a result similar to last year.
