The “Let’s Get to Know Each Other!” Polish Culture Festival in Bergen and OsloWe Do Festival
November weekends can be an opportunity to leave the house, meet new people and try something creative. The “Let’s Get to Know Each Other!” festival returns to two Norwegian cities with a programme aimed at the Polish community. Participants will be able to experiment with photography, listen to the stories of local enthusiasts and entrepreneurs, and get together over music.
Last year’s edition showed us how great our need is for simply being together in a meaningful way. Living abroad, we often pass one another in the rush of everyday life, forgetting how many fascinating stories and talents are within our reach.
The “Let’s Get to Know Each Other!” festival is a relaxed, open space. We are giving you the stage, inviting you to create together during the workshops, while the grand finale with Karolina Cicha will be a beautiful musical breather. Come and get to know one another!~the organisers of We Do Festival &
Bergen: photography, new connections and a musical finale
The first part of the festival will take place from 6 to 8 November in Bergen. Its main venue will be Det Akademiske Kvarter at Olav Kyrres gate 49. The photography workshops are scheduled for the Stillhet room, while the Sunday finale will take place in the Storelogen space.
For three days, participants in the experimental photography workshops led by Paweł Kula will explore unconventional ways of working with images. According to the organisers, only a few places remain. Applications should be sent to wedocultureorg@gmail.com, with the subject line: “Photography workshops Bergen”.
On Sunday, 8 November at 5:00 p.m., the festival finale will begin. The programme includes a summary of the workshops, an exhibition of photographs created during them, and a meeting featuring presentations in the Pecha Kucha format.
Ten people from the local Polish community – enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and community activists – will speak about their ideas and activities. Each presentation will last exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds. The presentations will be followed by time for conversation and making new connections.
Registration for audience members is by email: wedocultureorg@gmail.com, with the subject line “Networking meeting in BERGEN”.
The Sunday evening will conclude with a concert by Karolina Cicha, an artist from Podlasie. Separate registration via a form is required for the finale and concert.
