In Kristiansand, the programme covers central parts of the
Grim, Kvadraturen and Lund districts. The exact area can be checked on a map provided by the municipality. The grant is
NOK 5,000 per replaced stove. Support applies to replacing an old appliance without cleaner combustion technology, including a wood-burning stove manufactured before 1998, with a new stove. The programme does not cover, among other things, old cast-iron stoves made before 1940, which may have heritage value. In Kristiansand,
the application is submitted after the stove has been replaced. The new appliance must be installed by a qualified installer, and the old one must be delivered to an authorised waste collection point. The application requires, among other things:
- proof of purchase of the new stove,
- confirmation that the old appliance was handed in,
- installation documentation,
- confirmation that the new stove has been registered.
The funding pool is limited. Before starting the work, it is therefore best to check whether the programme still has funds available.
