The indictment was submitted to the Regional Court in Gdańsk on 30 September 2026. Mariusz Duszyński, spokesperson for the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk, told the Polish Press Agency (PAP) that the case concerns an attack that took place on 7 May in the city centre. The investigation was supervised by the Gdańsk-Śródmieście District Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk.
They followed tourists after they left a club. Then they attacked
The tourist from Norway was spending the evening at a strip club. He was accompanied by another Norwegian, and according to investigators' findings, it was there that the two met the later accused. After leaving the venue, they were followed by a group of men. One of the tourists was attacked on Stągiewna Street in central Gdańsk.
The attackers allegedly threatened the man with a knife. They took his phone and cash, then forced him to withdraw money from an ATM. They also used his payment card to make further transactions. The victim lost NOK 4,800, an iPhone and a bank card, which the perpetrators used to withdraw a further nearly NOK 2,000.
